Zamalek have announced the signing of Tunisian defensive midfielder Ferjani Sassi on a three-year contract, coming from Tunisian giants Esperance. The 26-year-old midfielder arrived in Cairo on Thursday to put pen to paper with Zamalek, with a warm welcome from the team's management, headed by chairman Mortada Mansour. The Tunisian international started his football career with Esperance, before joining Sportive Sfaxian in 2011. He then played in the French league FC Metz. Sassi is the fifth foreign player in Zamalek's squad, alongside Tunisian Hamdi Nagguez, Nigerian Maarouf Youssuf, Congolese Kabongo Kasongo and Moroccan forward Hamid Ahaddad.
