Egypt FM Shoukry discusses bilateral relations with Burkina Faso National Assembly speaker Sakande

Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met in Cairo on Saturday with Burkina Faso's National Assembly speaker Alassane Bala Sakandé, where they discussed boosting bilateral relations, the Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement.
The two officials discussed cooperation between the two countries in trade and the war on terrorism, as well as recent developments in Africa.
Speaker Sakande expressed appreciation for the cooperation between Egypt and Burkina Faso as well as his wish to increase Egyptian educational grants to his country.
He also expressed appreciation for Egypt helping Burkina Faso in building its new National Assembly headquarters.
Sakande is currently in Cairo upon an invitation from his Egyptian counterpart Ali Abdel-Aal.
Sakande has met during his visit a number of Egyptian officials including the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb and Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II.
