By: Gazette Staff CAIRO, May 12, 2018 - Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri on Saturday held talks with Mr. Bala Alassane Sakandé, the Speaker of the Burkina Faso National Assembly (parliament), who is on an official visit to Cairo. The Shoukri- Sakandé talks focused on a host of regional issues of mutual concern as well as the means of enhancing bilateral ties in all domains including the parliament relations and counter-terrorism efforts. Mr. Sakande has affirmed that Bukina Faso, a member of the G5 Sahel regional force, was keen on bolstering co-operation ties in all domains. Mr. Sakandé told Minister Shoukri that Burkina Faso was looking forward for closer health co-operation with Cairo especially in the areas of offering training programmes for its doctors in Egyptian teaching hospitals. The talks also dealt with the latest developments in Libya, Somalia and Syria.
