Senegal's Diouf hints at Anzhi Makhachkala move Senegal former hitman El Hadji Diouf could follow in the steps of Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o and join Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala in January
Senegalese striker El Hadji Diouf has revealed that he is in negotiations with Russia's Anzhi Makhachkala to discuss the possibility of joining the luxury club during the winter transfer window. “I am in contact with Anzhi officials," the 30-year old player told Senegalese newspaper The Observer. Following his departure from Blackburn Rovers last summer, the former Liverpool and Bolton winger signed a three-month deal with Doncaster Rovers who currently play in football league Championship. Despite interest by Doncaster officials to keep him permanently, Diouf seems to be considering other options. “Informal talks have been held with the Los Angeles Galaxy, but I have not decided about my future yet,” concluded El-Hadji Diouf who featured in 69 matches for Senegal until he retired internationally in 2009.
