Egypt's military said on Monday that it had killed one dangerous extremist and arrested six other suspects during a raid in North Sinai. In an official statement, armed forces spokesman Tamer El-Refaie said two warehouses had been discovered containing improvised explosive devices (IEDs), two 4x4 vehicles and six motorcycles used by extremists. Personnel from the Second Field Army also destroyed locations used by the extremists as hideouts and for storing ammunition, communications equipment and substances used to manufacture IEDs. "The Second Field Army continues in its efforts to eliminate extremists in North Sinai," the statement concluded.
