Liverpool's boss Klopp hails Salah's impact after Tottenham double
Published in Ahram Online on 04 - 02 - 2018

Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp heaped praise on star winger Mohamed Salah after seeing the Egyptian international scoring twice in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
"It was a fantastic goal (the second one), an outstanding goal. It was an outstanding performance, [he was] a threat the whole 90 minutes, that's true," Klopp said in the press conference after the match.
It took the 25-year-old Salah three minutes to give Liverpool an early lead, taking his tally to 20 league goals this season.
Substitute Victor Wanyama snatched the equaliser 10 minutes from the final whistle.
Salah produced a brilliant solo effort in injury-time dancing past three defenders to fire the second from a tight angle in the 91st minute. But suddenly Spurs restored the balance thanks to a penalty converted by Harry Kane.
"He scored both goals [and] the first one was so cool, to get the ball there and with or without a goalkeeper, it makes no difference - that's how it looked," added Klopp.
"The second one was outstanding, but it's really difficult to defend because I think everybody in the stadium, his teammates included, thought he would play a pass and in the end he did it by himself – that was probably in this moment the best idea," the coach concluded.
The draw left Tottenham fifth in the table, two points behind third-placed Liverpool.
Kane currently leads the premiere league's top scorers' list with 22 goals, just one ahead of his main challenger Salah.
