Preview: Zamalek eyeing first win under new coach Galal

Zamalek will be looking to grab their first win under new coach Ehab Galal and make up for an embarrassing Cairo derby loss to Ahly when they meet El-Entag El-Harby in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday.
Galal's debut was spoiled after his adventurous approach backfired badly in a 3-0 defeat by arch rivals Ahly last Monday which all but ended Zamalek's hopes of competing for the league title.
"I told my players that I take full responsibility for the loss to Ahly and that we shouldn't lose further points in the coming matches," Galal said in a television interview following the match, which extended Zamalek's winless league sequence against their nemesis to 17 matches in a run stretching back to 2007.
"Zamalek lacked confidence against Ahly. The team needs to restore its confidence and needs much training and effort.
"I haven't yet realised the weak and strong aspects of the team as I'm yet to see all the players. The team includes big names and we will see who we can work together in the next few matches," he added.
Zamalek are fourth in the table with 28 points, a massive 13 behind leaders Ismaily although the latter played a game more. Ahly lie second on 39 points but will go top with a four-point lead over Ismaily should they win two rescheduled matches.
Galal is tasked with turning around the fortunes of an ailing side, who have only won the league title once in the last 14 years. He made headlines by guiding unfancied Maqassa to a runners-up spot in the league last season and an African Champions League spot.
Zamalek almost have a fully-fit squad, apart from winger Abdallah Gomaa who is still out through injury. Galal is expected to rely on experienced playmaker Ayman Hefni again after he produced a fine display against Ahly.
El-Entag El-Harby held Zamalek to a 1-1 draw in the league opener in September. They lie ninth in the table with 22 points from 17 matches.
