I don't have a problem with Toure, says Mancini Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini denies reports that Kolo Toure will leave in January, insisting that he has no problem with the Ivorian defender
Roberto Mancini confirmed on Tuesday that he has no problem with team's Ivorian defender Kolo Toure, who hinted recently he could leave Manchester City in the next transfer window. "In this moment, no. Kolo is part of our plans for this year. He is a good player, a good guy and if he plays or not - because we have a lot of good players - he is part of our plans," Mancini was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. The 30-year-old defender expressed his displeasure over his lack of playing time since he returned to the team from a six month ban. "Kolo is important for us because he is experienced. In the summer he told me he wants to leave because he wants to play. I have respect for him and we can talk about this, but not now," said the Italian coach. Regarding the player's reported statements to French magazine So Foot, claiming he feels he is being victimised for participating in the African Cup of Nations 2010, Mancini said that he would ignore those quotes as the player told him that he didn't make those comments. "I spoke about this with Kolo. He told me he didn't say anything about this. Kolo and I do not have any problem. He explained this to me and for me it is finished. It is okay now. "I did not read the article so I don't know what Kolo said, I can say only, at training he told me about this interview," he concluded.
