Ahly are determined to grab their first ever away win over Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel, coach Hossam El-Badry said on Saturday, one day before both sides meet in an anticipated African Champions League semi-final clash. The Red Devils set up a mouthwatering two-legged encounter with Etoile after overcoming another Tunisian side in Esperance in the quarters, coming from a goal down to a earn a 2-1 win in Rades following a 2-2 first-leg draw in Alexandria. The semi-final first-leg meeting between Ahly and Etoile takes place in Sousse, with the return scheduled for 22 October at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium. "I know that Ahly have never defeated Etoile in Sousse but I'm looking forward to ending that tomorrow," El-Badry, who led the Cairo giants to the 2012 Champions League title in his previous spell in charge, told the pre-match news conference. "We are primarily looking for a win or any positive result would be fine. "But the match will not be settled before the second leg takes place next month," El-Badry added. Ahly are eyeing a record-extending ninth title and their first since 2013. They met Etoile in the Champions League final in 2005 and 2007. Ahly prevailed with comprehensive 3-0 aggregate win in 2005 but Etoile had the upper hand two years later, securing a 3-1 victory in Cairo after the first leg ended goalless.
