Zamalek's Abdel-Shafi out of training with hamstring injury Defender to undergo scans after suffering recurrence of injury sustained against Ittihad El-Shorta
Zamalek left back Mohammed Abdel-Shafi will undergo medical scans to determine the seriousness of a hamstring injury that sidelined him from training on Sunday. The 26-year-old sustained the injury against Ittihad El-Shorta in the sixth week of the season, but trained on Saturday without problems until he felt a recurrence of the injury at the end of the session. Ahmed Hassan and Ahmed Hossam “Mido” also sat out training on Sunday due to exhaustion but are expected to join Monday's session. Zamalek are preparing for the return of Premier League action and will play Wadi Degla on 8 December in a match postponed from the first match day of the season. The Cairo giants are fifth in the table with 10 points after five games, with one game in hand.
