Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour has announced the team's new squad for the upcoming season, showing confidence in the new faces.
"We don't want you to give the evil-eye to the new squad. It's amazing. We have players from Syria, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso, in addition to all Egyptian governorates," said Mansour during a press conference at the club's headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
Mansour, who recently sacked Portuguese coach Augusto Inacio, the 14th coach since he took charge in 2014, introduced several newly-signed players for the Cairo-based club.
He also revealed details of the profits resulting from the departure of some players.

"Our sons Hazem Emam, Khaled Kamar, Ibrahim Abdel-Khalek, Youssef Ibrahim, Mohamed Koffi, and Mostafa Mohamed, returned back to their club for free. We also signed Ahmed Magdy for free," Mansour said.
"The new signings include Salah Ashour, Ahmed Madbouly, Ahmed Dawoud, Mohamed Ramadan, Abdallah Gomaa, Mohamed El-Shamy, Ahmed Kaboria, Syrian duo Alaa El-Shebly and Moayad El-Aggan, in addition to Kabongo Kasongo, Ben Acheampong and Razak Cisse," he added.

Mansour also announced that forward Hossam Paulo has been moved to Ittihad of Alexandria for EGP 1.5 million on a one-season loan deal.
