Ashraf El-Ashry has been appointed editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram Arabic website by the chairman of Al-Ahram, Abdel-Mohsen Salama. El-Ashry, 54, was previously the deputy editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram daily newspaper. Aly Mahmoud, who was a journalist for the Arabic website, was appointed his deputy editor-in-chief.
