Egyptian squash players Mohamed El-Shorbagy, Ali Farag and Tarek Moemen secured places in the Allam British Open quarters after claiming easy wins over their opponents in the tournament's second round on Wednesday. Defending champion El-Shorbagy eased past Daryl Selby of England 3-0, while Farag needed only 30 minutes to overcome Tsz Fung Yip of Hong Kong. Tarek Moemen completed Egypt's triumph on Wednesday, defeating Paul Coll 3-0 in a 62-minute game. Egypt will have the chance to introduce another two players in the tournament's quarters, with Rami Ashour facing Diego Elias and Mohamed Abouelghar taking on Karim Abdel-Gawad in an Egyptian face-off. In the women's competition, defending champions Nour El-Sherbini maintained her wining rhythm as she advanced into the quarters at the expense of Annie Au of Hong Kong with a 3-0 win. "It doesn't always feel as comfortable on court as it looks outside," El-Sherbini said on Wednesday. "But I was ahead the whole match and felt I was playing well," she said. "I'm just focusing on one match at a time, but I really want to win this as I haven't won a title so far this year."
