Egypt's defence minister discusses regional developments with French defence chief of staff

Egypt's Minister of Defence Sedky Sobhi met on Thursday morning with France's Chief of the Defence Staff Pierre de Villiers in Cairo where they discussed the latest developments in the region, the Egyptian Armed Forces said in a statement.
The meeting, which was attended by Egyptian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy, also saw a discussion on military relations between Egypt and France.
De Villiers praised the important role Egypt is playing in fighting terrorism and radicalism in the Middle East.
