Ahly exclude frozen players from African squad

Ahly palyers Mido Gaber, Bassem Ali and Mohamed Hamdy Zaki have been excluded from the team's African squad, football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz announced on Monday.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian striker John Antwi, who joined Maqassa on loan this winter, has also been excluded from the African squad.
The Cairo giants' coach Hossam El-Badry sidelined Mido Gaber and Mohamed Hamdy Zaki from the team's regular squad for domestic games in the Egyptian Premier League, driving speculation that the duo will leave the team during the winter transfer window in January.
Egyptian Premier League title-holders, Ahly, will represent Egypt in the African Champions League this season alongside runners-up Zamalek.

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekrami, Ahmed Adel, Mohamed El-Shennawy
