Our mission in CAN 2012 won't be easy, says Tunisia coach North African derby between Tunisia and Morocco in group stage of 2012 African Cup of Nations
Tunisia coach Sami Trabelsi revealed on Sunday that he was surprised by the 2012 African Cup of Nations finals draw after his side came in the same group as Morocco. "We have a derby in our group, with Morocco,” Trabelsi was quoted as saying on cafonline. “In my last participation as a player in CAN in 2000, I had Morocco in my group too.” The draw for the 2012 African Cup of Nations finals, conducted in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea on Saturday, brought together the North African rivals in Group C alongside co-hosts Gabon and Niger. “This will be my first CAN as a coach and I hope it will bring me some luck. It will not be easy, there are some tough games and good teams in the group and there are always surprises at CAN finals,” he added. “Even during the qualifications, the story has been similar. The team that prepare best and make the most of the event will most likely prevail." The tournament is being co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon from 21 January to 12 February 2012. The Full Draw: Group A: Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Senegal, Zambia Group B: Ivory Coast, Sudan, Burkina Faso, Angola Group C: Gabon, Niger, Morocco, Tunisia Group D: Ghana, Botswana, Mali, Guinea
