Cairo's Bait Al-Oud (The House of Oud) will host Egyptian band Dokkan in a concert scheduled for Monday 31 October. The Cairo-based experimental musical project “draw(s) inspiration from a wide array of contemporary musical elements and more traditional Egyptian sounds; the project explores this blend employing innovative instrumentation, mesmerising melodies and rich rhythmic grooves,” reads the band description on Dokkan's official YouTube channel. The band line-up includes Tarek Al Azhary (oud), Omar Magdy (acoustic guitar), Mohammed El Mallawany (double bass) and Naeyr Osama (percussion). The concert will mark a year since the band's debut performance which was also delivered at Bait Al-Oud.
