Art Alert: Screening of Twenty Eight Nights and a Poem at Cairo's Townhouse

Lebanese documentary Twenty Eight Nights and a Poem will screen at Townhouse Rawabet theatre next Monday.
Directed by Akram Zaatari, the 2015 documentary follows filmmaker to an old photography studio in Sayda in southern Lebanon, allowing the veteran photographer Hashem el Madani tells his story through discussing his work.
Last year, the film screened in Cairo's Zawya as part of AFAC Film Week.
It had premiered earlier in 2015 at the Berlin International Film Festival's Forum where it won the Think: Film Award Special Mention.
Born in Sayda, Lebanon in 1966, Zaatari is an experienced director and producer known for works such as Letter to a Refusing Pilot (2013), a short which was nominated for a Tiger Award for Short Film at the Rotterdam International Film Festival 2014.
His short titled Tomorrow Everything Will Be Alright was nominated for a Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlinale 2011.
