Hosapeer Theatre will stage the play Fi Qalby Ontha Ebreyya (A Jewish Woman in my Heart) four times in two nights on 21 and 21 August. Directed by Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, the play is based on the novel of the same name penned by Tunisian writer Khaoula Hamdi. The novel centres on a Jewish Tunisian family that takes in their Muslim neighbour and her young daughter after she is widowed and orphaned. The play is performed by Fann Mehawg troupe, with dramaturge by Mohammed Zaki. Fann Mehaweg was established in 2014, and started by presenting Leilet Masrah (A Theatre Night), which involved the presenting of four short plays a night. The troupe also performed Torab El-Mas (Diamond's Dust), a play based on a novel by Ahmed Mourad, and Hepta, based on the novel by Mohamed Sadek.
