Sudan's coach confident ahead of Ghana clash Sudan's coach Mohamad Abdallah 'Mazda' expects his side to beat Ghana in Sunday's Nations Cup qualifier in Khartoum
Mohamad Abdallah “Mazda” said on Wednesday he is confident Sudan can beat Ghana on Sunday and qualify for next year's African Cup of Nations. “For my team it's an essential match considering it's our chance to qualify. Ghana has a lot of hugely experienced players who compete in the top leagues in the world, but my players and I have been working hard at taking on the challenge,” Mazda was quoted as saying by KickOff. “I think we have convinced people that we have a strong chance to win and that we deserve to go to the finals. We are not afraid of this match or the challenge. We are very confident.” Sudan and Ghana have 13 points each but the latter top the group due to a superior goal difference. The group winners qualify automatically for next year's Nations Cup finals in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon while the runners-up will wait to find whether their points tally makes them one of the best two second-placed teams.
