Gabon striker Malick Evouna, who completed a top-notch season with Ahly Saturday, said he would like to be able to play again with the Egyptian champions, showing optimism ahead of his move to China. "I am so happy with the season I played for Ahly and I hope I can return again someday," the 23-year-old player told reporters Thursday. Evouna announced he will fly to China Saturday to complete his move to Tianjin Teda in a three-and-a-half-year deal. "I am hoping I can score more memorable goals with the Chinese club," he added. Having already agreed on personal terms with the player on a contract worth $2 million a year, the Chinese outfit tabled $8 million to lure the international striker away from Ahly. "I have many good memories from the League title I clinched win the red jerseys, and my best moment was when I scored against Zamalek [in the 2-0 first leg win]" the Lion, as he is popularly known, added. The international striker made a slow start but proved his worth with some convincing displays, scoring 12 goals in the domestic league, helping the Red Devils regain the league title from rivals Zamalek. Evouna joined Ahly from Wydad Casablanca of Morocco last summer in a record transfer deal that totaled $2.5 million, the most expensive in Egyptian football history.
