Beirut International Film Festival to kick off on Wednesday
Festival to screen three Egyptian films as well as many others from the Arab world and Iran

The 11thBeirut International Film Festival will kick off on Wednesday and run until 13 October.
Egypt is competing with three films including, Al-Khroug Men Al-Kahera (Cairo Exit) by Hesham Essawy, Hawi (Juggler) by Ibrahim El-Batout and a short film titled Hawas (Senses)by Mohamed Ramadan.
The festival's opening film is Terence Malick's The Tree of Life, which won the Palme D'or at this year's Cannes festival.
According to the festival director, Colette Naufal, there will be 67 participating films by directors from 29 countries. Films are classified in seven sections and include International Panorama, ME Feature Films Competition, ME Documentary Competition, ME Short Films Competition, Shorts Corner, Culinary Films, and Children Films.
Naufal has announced that the festival will be screening six Iranian films, five Iraqi films, three Jordanian films, two Tunisian films, one Moroccan and one Bahraini film.
