The management of Sudan's Al-Hilal have decided to sack Serbian coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic following the club's unexpected stumble on its way to the CAF Champions League final. The 42-year-old coach came under fire after the Sudanese giants' 1-0 loss to Tunisia's Esperance in the first leg of the semi-final in Oum Durman on Sunday. “At a meeting on Monday, Al-Hilal's board of directors decided to sack Micho - along with his assistant coach, Tarek - who was responsible for the defeat,” Sudanese newspaper Goan Sport reported on Tuesday. “They also decided to appoint coach Alfateh Alnokr and assistant Ahmed Adam to lead the team in the second leg in Tunisia on 15 October,” the newspaper added. Esperance, currently eyeing their first Champions League triumph since 1994, are now favourites to reach the final for the second consecutive season, having lost to TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo last year. Morocco's Wydad Casablanca, meanwhile, managed a 1-0 victory over Nigerian outfit Enyimba in the first-leg of the other semi-final on Saturday.
