Russia coach Dick Advocaat has called up newcomer Alexander Samedov to replace injured midfielder Dmitry Torbinskiy for the team's last two Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Russia is away to Slovakia on 7 October and will host Andorra in Moscow four days later.
Advocaat's side is top of Group B with 17 points after eight games. Second-place Ireland is two points behind, followed by Armenia and Slovakia on 14 points each.
Advocaat has been widely criticised for selecting the same 20-man squad for the most of the qualifying round.
