Saudi exports up nearly a third in 2010 Rising oil prices help push shipments from the Kingdom to over 940 billion riyals last year with Japan and the US the main importers
The value of Saudi Arabia's exports rose 31 per cent year-on-year to reach 941.8 billion riyals in 2010, according to the SPA state-run news agency. The volume of exports also increased by an annual 7 per cent to 391,810 tonnes, with the greater growth in value attributed to rising oil prices. Japan, the U.S. and China were the largest importers of commodity products from Saudi Arabia, the report added.
