Cairo's criminal court is to announce on Saturday its response to the Illicit Gains Authority's request that the assets of Ahmed Ezz, head of the former ruling National Democratic Party, and his family be freezed. The court will decide in its session. Ezz stands accused of using his previous position to illegally accrue wealth and expand his steel business through monopolising the industry and benefitting from state privatisation projects.
