Egypt and Ahly goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy strained a hamstring muscle during the 1-1 draw with Ghazl El-Mahalla in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday. The 32-year-old keeper picked up the injury while he was trying to block a shot from Mahalla's Mohamed Yehia, who gave his side a surprise lead. Ekramy will undergo further scans to determine how long he will be out. He could be doubtful for the upcoming league game against Masry, who are joint third in the table, on Tuesday. Ahly remain top of the league table on 40 points, five ahead of second-placed and title holders Zamalek who closed the gap on their arch rivals with a 1-0 victory over Aswan later on Thursday.
