Two killed in apparent butane gas blast in Giza In addition to two casualties, three are in critical condition and 11 others injured in suspected gas leak explosion
Two women were killed Sunday in a huge explosion that initial investigations said was caused by butane gas leak in Giza's working class district of Faisal. Fourteen were also injured, including three in critical condition that require intensive care, according to medical sources. The other 11 mostly sustained bruises and fractures. The interior ministry said the blast, which took place next to a gas station, destroyed several vehicles as well the facades of surrounding buildings. Giza governor Kamal El-Daly said the residential building where the explosion took place would be evacuated and removed after being badly damaged by the blast.
