I need to play with more speed, improve shooting from outside the box: Egypt's Salah
Mohamed Salah talks to AS Roma's official website about the aspects he needs to improve in his game as well as other issues
Published in Ahram Online on 25 - 12 - 2015

AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah believes he needs to play with more speed, as well as improve his long-range shooting skills in order to enhance his game, the Egypt star told asroma.com
In an exclusive interview with AS Roma's official website, Salah also spoke about his best career goals and what Egypt need to do to break their World Cup jinx.
“I want to improve my shooting from outside the box, use my right foot more, use my head more and play with more speed,” the pacey 23-year-old said.
“I think my first goal here at Roma was very good against Sassuolo. Also my goal last season against Juve was good. When I was in Egypt I also scored some good goals."
“With the national team I think I scored 21 or 22 goals, not the best but very important for me also."
“In order to qualify [for the World Cup] we need to be strong. We need to be more together. We have to believe in ourselves and we have to fight. It's not easy to go to the World Cup. I know its difficult but it is not impossible. I think this time next year we will be in the World Cup.”
When asked about Roma's UEFA Champions League last-eight qualification chances after being drawn with Real Madrid in the round of 16, Salah looked convinced his side are capable of knocking out the Spanish giants.
"I think we can do it. I think, in my opinion, we can do it. I've always have had a dream to play against Real Madrid. Everybody knows Real Madrid but for us we need to do our job, we need to do our work, we need to stay focused in order to fight and play well. I think we can do it.”
The ex-Arab Contractors did not forget to mention Roma captain and teammate Francesco Totti among his childhood heroes, who included Zinedine Zidane and Brazil's Ronaldo.
“In football I had many [favourite] players. Zidane was Zidane. Ronaldo, Francesco also who played before I was born! I think many players but I would choose these 3.”
On the reasons he opted to join the Italian Roma after leaving Chelsea, Salah said it was his desire to win a trophy with an Italian club.
“I chose Roma for many reasons. I want to win something here. I like the city. I like the club. I think I'm happy here and I like everything.”
Salah joined Roma on a permanent move from Chelsea in the close season following a fruitful six-month loan spell at Fiorentina.
