Hassan Mustafa delighted to stay at Zamalek under coach Shehata
Zamalek announced that Hassan Mustafa will extend his stay, while they have yet to reach a final agreement with Ahmed Hassan
Published in Ahram Online on 26 - 07 - 2011

Zamalek midfielder Hassan Mustafa has welcomed extending his stay at the White Castle, confirming his loyalty to the club.
“I want to be at Zamalek till the end,” the former Ahly player was quoted as saying on Zamalek's official website, adding, “I am so excited that coach Hassan Shehata is leading us.”
The most successful Egypt national team manager, Shehata is close to signing his contract with Zamalek after being sacked from the Pharaohs job when he was unable to defend the title he won three successive times after disqualifying from the 2012 edition of the African Cup of Nations.
“I have good relationships with Shehata and I am optimistic that we can get back to our winning days under his helm,” Mustafa insisted.
Zamalek lost their bid for their first Egyptian Premier League title since 2004, finishing as runner-up of the first post-revolution domestic championship behind arch-rivals Ahly after dominating for many rounds.
Ahmed Hassan hasn't signed yet
In other news, Zamalek president Galal Ibrahim revealed that they will transfer many players soon.
“Ahmed Hassan hasn't signed yet but the negotiations are still on with him to lead Zamalek next season,” Ibrahim said.
The 36-year-old Ahly midfielder and Egypt skipper is reportedly demanding LE4 million per season ($671,349), which is proving to be an obstacle in his talks with the Whites.
“It's the technical staff's decision to confirm the Ivorian striker Mariano's move as he will be on trial till next Thursday,” revealed.
