Algeria playmaker Yacine Brahimi highlighted the importance of the team's 7-0 rout of Tanzania in the African qualifiers for the World Cup, saying it was vital to restore their confidence. After coming from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw at Tanzania in the first leg of World Cup qualifying second round, Algeria hammered the visitors at home in Tuesday's second leg to seal a place in the final group phase. "We played a nice game," Brahimi told Algerian newspaper El-Heddaf on Wednesday. "The win was very important to regain confidence." The 27-year-old, who opened the scoring for his side in Tuesday's goal fiesta, says the win would help the team in their preparations for the upcoming clashes. "This win was important before our upcoming clashes. Fans should be proud with our performance against Tanzania," he added.
