Renowned Egyptian writer and translator Khalil Kalfat dies at 72

Renowned Egyptian writer, translator, and well known leftist activist, Khalil Kalfat, has died in Cairo on Monday 9 November. He was 72.
Kalfat is well known for his smooth, eloquent translations as well as his leftist political activism, which led to multiple imprisonments.
