Cairo activist convoy off to Suez
A group of Cairo activists are on their way to Suez to join in solidarity with the sit-in there following the release of policemen accused of killing protesters

A group of Cairo activists are moving today in a convoy from Cairo to Suez in solidarity with martyrs' families and others who are currently sitting-in at Arbaen Square.
Around 60 activists, including Salma El Daly, Rasha Azzab, Ahmed Medhat and Ahmed Munchy are coming to show solidarity with families of martyrs whose sit-in has entered the fourth day. Those assembled object to a court order which released officers accused of killing peaceful protesters in their city.
According to Ahmed Medhar, the general coordinator of the event, some of the activists are expected to join the sit-in until 7pm before returning to Cairo to attend tomorrow's "Persistence Friday" in Tahrir Square. Others will stay with the protestors in Suez.
“The convoy is to show our anger at the security and the police apparatus and at the same time show Suez revolutionaries and martyrs' families that all Egypt is supporting them," Medhar told Ahram Online.
The convoy, moving now from Al-Turguman in Cairo, was co-organized by activists in Cairo and the Suez Youth Coalition.
