Zamalek lodges official complaint against Masry Hours ahead of the Cairo derby with arch rivals Ahly on Wednesday, Zamalek have lodged a complaint against Masry after the side's supporters attacked the White Knight's bus and later invaded the pitch
Zamalek board have lodged an official complaint to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) demanding an investigation for the hostile incidents that occurred to the team in Port Said last week. Masry supporters stoned Zamalek's bus upon arrival in Port Said; others surrounded the hotel to scare them. Furthermore, some of the costal side supporters invaded the pitch before the game, while Zamalek and twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan were verbally insulted before and after the match. “The complaint is given ground through the media evidence of what happened to the team,” Zamalek president Galal Ibrahim was quoted as saying by Ahram Online Tuesday. “Zamalek is a big club and we will not give up our rights,” the White Castle president added. After losing three precious points following the 2-0 defeat against Masry last Saturday, the Whites, second in the league tables with 50 points, are in a must-win situation in tomorrow's derby with the Red Devils, ahead by five points, in order to keep their league title hopes alive.
