Egypt's famous Korba Festival 2011 postponed
Due to security and 'governmental issues,' The Employer announces, last-minute, that their famous Korba Festival will be postponed

Without giving an exact date, The Employer magazine announced that the Korba Festival 2011, originally planned to take place onFriday 1 July,is postponed to sometime in autumn this year.
The Employers Korba Festival was to share the Egyptian culture with the rest of the world; showing off new talents in music, the visual arts and street performances. The festival was to take place on Baghdad Street, transforming it into a pedestrian area where Egyptian bands, like Salalem, Asfalt, Cairokey, among many others, were to perform.
In the plans was an entire area of the street dedicated to children. The Employers organised a talent area for kids, including street dancing in addition to a number of stage performances, like a muppet show, a clown show, a magician and kids' karaoke.
In its press release about the festival, the organisers explain their aimshortly to be highlighting "Egypt's culture to the world while emphasising that there are thousands who seek to do whatever it takes to see their country rise to prosperity. Exerting efforts to develop our nation is the atmosphere and spirit that will surround the Festival where ever and whenever it takes place.”
In their information related to the postponement of the event, The Employerannounced thatthe "Korba Festival will be postponed due to security and governmental issues." Later in the same announcement, the organiser underlines: "We have taken all possible measures to ensure the security of the place through the police, the army, and G4S Security Company, yet, we have no intention to risk the security of any of the companies or any of the people in the streets.”
