Sudan's Olympic team confident of eliminating Egypt
Sudan's Olympic team coach says his side can eliminate Egypt on the road to the 2012 London Games

Sudan are confident of knocking Egypt's football team out of the 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers despite failing to overcome them in the second-round first leg, which ended goalless earlier this month.
Egypt survived a flurry of late Sudan attacks to escape with a valuable draw which put them in pole position to qualify for the group stage. The Pharaohs host their neighbours in the second leg on Saturday.
“The players are determined to continue the qualifying campaign. We want to maintain our fine run of form which saw us beat Ghana away from home in the previous round despite a 1-1 home draw,” Sudan coach Mohamed Mohiuddin said on Wednesday.
“The win over Ghana gave us a huge morale boost. We have the sufficient skills and experience to embarrass Egypt on their home soil.
“We told the players they have to forget everything about the first leg and concentrate on the task ahead of them. We will adopt an attacking strategy but we have to be cautious at the back to avoid conceding a goal that would ruin our mission.”
Egypt, who appeared rusty and toothless and were repeatedly exposed at the back, were lucky to avoid a defeat in the first leg after failing to muster a single shot on goal.
The Hany Ramzy-led team are eager to reach the Olympic Games for the first time since 1992.
