Cameroon made it two wins out of two following another narrow 1-0 victory over Gambia, while CAN holders Ivory Coast failed to overcome minnows Sierra Leone away from home in the 2017 CAN qualifiers on Sunday. A second-half goal from Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar was enough for the Indomitable Lions to seal an away victory, as they moved top of Group M – three points ahead of second-placed Mauritania. In Group I, 2015 CAN champions Ivory Coast could not overcome Sierra Leone as both teams played out a goalless draw in Port Harcourt. Having been drawn with 2017 CAN hosts Gabon in the group, the game was considered Ivory Coast's first as they now lie second on a single point. Sudan are in charge of the group with three points, having beaten Sierra Leone 1-0 in the opener.
