Four individuals from the same family were killed and one child was injured in a car crash in Egypt's Delta governorate Beheira, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported. All casualties and those injured were transported to the Wadi Al-Natroun Hospital. According to initial investigations, the incident took place when the back tire of the car exploded, causing the car to careen across the road and collide with a truck. All those killed and injured were passengers in the car. Beheira witnesses many road accidents. Earlier in August, two microbuses collided on the Damanhour-Hosh Eissa Road in Beheira governorate, injuring 18. Traffic accidents in Egypt claim around 12,000 lives a year, according to the World Heath Organization. Crashes are often blamed on bad driving, poor infrastructure, and loosely enforced traffic regulations. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/137884.aspx
