Tunisia have been hit by a fresh injury blow ahead of this month's African Cup of Nations, with striker Saber Khalifa set to miss the tournament's first round due to a muscle injury. The Club Africain striker left the pitch on the 35th minute of his side's 1-1 draw against Algeria in a Nations Cup warm-up on Sunday. "Initial examinations revealed that Khalifa has suffered a severe muscle strain that needs at least two weeks of treatment," Tunisia's doctor Zouhair Chamli told Tunisvisions on Monday. "He will undergo further examination to decide the next steps." The former Olympique de Marseille striker was instrumental in Tunisia's triumphant campaign in the African qualifiers. Tunisia were drawn in Group B alongside Zambia, Cape Verde and DR Congo.
