Cairo Criminal Court postponed to 29 November a verdict in Mubarak's retrial, initially planned for Saturday, citing more time needed to examine 160,000 pages of evidence

Clashes erupted Saturday between supporters and opponents of ousted president Hosni Mubarak outside the Cairo Police Academy, where Mubarak's retrial is being held.
Police intervened to quell the clashes.
Cairo Criminal Court postponed a verdict, initially was planned for Saturday, in the retrial to 29 November, saying it needs more time to consider the evidence that runs to over 160,000 pages.
Families of martyrs of the January 2011 uprising expressed their disappointment after the court postponed the verdict.
Mubarak, 86, is being retried on charges of complicity in the killing of around 850 unarmed protesters during the 2011 uprising that ended his 30-year rule. His sons Gamal and Alaa, Mubarak-era interior minister Habib El-Adly, and six of El-Adly's aides are also charged in the same case.
The former autocrat was sentencedto 25 years in jail in 2012 for complicity in the protesters' deaths, but the verdict was successfully appealed in January 2013 when the presiding judge said there was not enough evidence presented from the prosecution.
The retrial began in April 2013.
