Five Napoli fans have been arrested for the violence surrounding last season's Italian Cup final, which was marred by a shooting before the match. Police say that among those arrested was Gennaro De Tommaso, who jumped over a barrier at the Stadio Olimpico to speak with authorities and argue for the match to be postponed. De Tommaso and the others face charges of resisting public officials and violations of stadium laws. Napoli fan Ciro Esposito was shot away from the stadium before kickoff of the May 3 game then died of his wounds in June. Roma fan Daniele De Santis, who allegedly fired four shots, was among four people arrested a day after the game. An investigation of the shooting is ongoing. Napoli beat Fiorentina 3-1 in the match.
