Brotherhood must face reality: Nour Party leader
Leader of Egypt's largest Salafist party warns Muslim Brotherhood that protests planned for anniversary of Mohamed Morsi's removal will only bring further violence and instability

The Salafist Nour Party has condemned protests planned by the Muslim Brotherhood for 3 July, the one year anniversary of the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi, state news agency MENA reported.
In a statement released on Monday, the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL), a pro-Morsi coalition that includes the Brotherhood, called for nationwide protests to break what they described as a military coup that removed Morsi – who hailed from the group – from power.
Nour Party head Younis Makhioun said the protests would only bring more losses, violence and killing.
Makhioun asked the Brotherhood to stop being detached from reality and to face the reality, that there is popular acceptance of the status quo and also recognition from the international community.
The head of the Nour Party, which used to be one of the Brotherhood's strongest allies, asked the group to cease pushing the youth into more losses and putting the country into a state of tension.
FollowingMorsi's ouster, a political roadmap was announced by then-army chief Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi which consisted of three elections – a constitutional referendum in January, followed by the presidential vote in May and then a parliamentary election, slated to begin in mid-July.
