The South African Football Association denies it has appointed Nigeria's Stephen Keshi as its new national team coach, saying media reports of a two-year contract are false. SAFA says it won't make a decision until mid-July but does not rule out the Nigeria boss as a contender. Keshi is guiding Nigeria at the World Cup in Brazil, and led the team to the African Cup title last year. SAFA President Danny Jordaan on Monday said: "Keshi's name is among the various names that have been thrown around by the media. SAFA has not yet arrived at any decision." Jordaan says the new coach for the 2010 World Cup host — which failed to qualify in 2014 — will only be announced after this year's football showcase in Brazil.
