Egypt's Welad El-Balad news website celebrates 2nd anniversary
Institute focusing on developing Egypt's local press turns two on Sunday, in an event held at the Journalists' Syndicate downtown

Welad El-Balad Media Services, an independent institute focusing on the development of local press in Egypt, is celebrating its second anniversary on Sunday.
The event will take place at 7pm at the Journalists' Syndicate in downtown Cairo in the presence of its founder, prominent journalist Fatema Farag.
Welad El-Balad describes itself as "a company specialised in developing and supporting ethical and professional local journalism". They have 10 print publications, along with a news website covering over 20 governorates.
