Ahly club marketing and investments director Adly El-Qayei stated his sorrow over the death of Nasser Al-Kharafi on Sunday, especially because he had good relationships with the club's board and always considered it as his favourite. El-Qayei also asserted that the club's funding will not be influenced by Al-Kharafi's death, confirming that Ahly is one of the biggest clubs in Egypt and Africa and it has a successful funding management system, as there are many businessmen that prefer the Cairo giants. Al-Kharafi was one of Ahly's business godfathers and he was the basic funder of Ahly transactions. His last favour to Ahly was funding the salaries of Portuguese coach Manuel Jose and his coaching staff, which totals to 123 thousand EUROS per month. Ahly President Hassan Hamdy and his VP, Mahmoud El-Khatib are set to travel to Kuwait on Wednesday for the businessman's funeral. Ahly are currently third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 32 points, 3 points less than table leaders, Zamalek.
