Mohamed Abou-Treika has been invited by world football governing body FIFA to attend the 2014 World Cup opening ceremony, due to take place on 12 June in Brazil. The recently-retired Ahly and Egypt ace was named among a host of African figures invited by FIFA for the Brazil finals' opener at Sao Paulo Stadium. Abou-Treika, who hung up his boots last year, will already be available in Brazil as a pundit analysing the World Cup finals for BeIN SPORTS, who own exclusive broadcasting rights to air the quadrennial competition's games. The World Cup opener will see five-time champions Brazil take on Croatia. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/102772.aspx
