Ahly coach extols players for Etoile du Sahel draw
Fathi Mabrouk praises players for their performance during the 1-1 draw with Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday
Published in Ahram Online on 26 - 05 - 2014

Ahly coach Fathi Mabrouk has expressed his pleasure at the 1-1 away draw with Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in the second matchday of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The only Egyptian representative in the African tournament came from behind with a goal from striker Amr Gamal 14 minutes after the break.
"The draw is fair for the team because we suffered from the absence of key players due to injuries," Mabrouk was quoted as saying on the club's official website after the game.
The Cairo giants were forced to start the game without the services of key players Abdullah El-Saied, Emad Meteb and Walid Soliman due to injuries.
Moreover, Egypt and Ahly striker Mohamed 'Gedo' Nagy sustained a serious knee injury during the first half and he will be out of action for six months.
"The team will be affected by the absence of striker Gedo during the coming games," he added.
Sunday's result allowed Ahly to cement their position at the top of Group B with four points, two ahead of second-placed Etoile du Sahel.
Ahly will face Ivory Coast's Sewe Sport, who are third in the group, on 7 June.
"We will start preparations for the Sewe Sport game once we arrive back in Egypt," he concluded.
