Pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters have torched a police vehicle in Egypt's Alexandria governorate on Friday, an hour after security forces dispersed their protest, eyewitnesses told Aswat Masriya. Head of Alexandria's Criminal Investigations Nasser Al-Abd accused "Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated elements” of throwing Molotov cocktails at the vehicle, which was completely burned in the fire, the Reuters-affiliated website reported. Al-Abd said that no police personnel were injured in the attack. Security forces have also arrested 10 pro-Brotherhood protesters in the Al-Awayed district in eastern Alexandria, after firing teargas to disperse a demonstration. Also on Friday, another police vehicle was set on fire in Cairo's Helwan district after the conscript driving the vehicle was pulled out of the driver's seat, and beaten. Demonstrations in support of the Brotherhood and ousted president Mohamed Morsi are common on Fridays despite increasing crackdowns on Morsi supporters, and the passing of legislation last year that made demonstrating without police permission illegal. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/101458.aspx
