Ahly duo Abdallah El-Said and Sayed Moawad will be miss Sunday's clash against Ghazl El-Mahala in the Egyptian Premier League due to injury.
Earlier Saturday, Ahly's caretaker coach, Fathy Mabrouk, announced a 20-man squad that will travel to Alexandria where the match will be held.
“Midfielder El-Said is out of the travelling squad as he suffers from foot pains, while winger Moawad has muscular issues,” Ahly said in a statement in its official website.
In Saturday's training session, fullback Ahmed Fathi was strongly knocked by teammate Sabry Rahil, but he will be available for the match, according to club doctor Khaled Mahmoud.
Ahly are close to booking a place in the final mini-league phase as they currently lie second in Group A with 33 points, one behind leaders Smouha.
The domestic competition — 22 teams divided into two groups — just ended the 20th matchday, with a week left to determine which four teams would qualify for the mini-league.
Ahly still has a match in hand against Gouna 12 June.
