Sunderland suffer Muntari injury blow
Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari suffered a calf injury that will rule him out of Sunderland's game against Birmingham on Saturday

The 26-year-old international player Sulley Muntarisustained an injury "during training ... and has been ruled out of the travelling party for Saturday's fixture,” a statement posted on Sunderland's website said Thursday.
The length of time needed for recovery hasn't been determined, but Muntari is expected to be back next week.
Muntari —who joined the Black Cats in January on a six-month loan deal from Inter Milan—has established himself as a key figure in coach Steve Bruce formation and featured in six league games until now.
